The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers announced nominees for their annual Scribe Awards, which “acknowledge and celebrate excellence in licensed tie-in works based on TV shows, movies, and games.” This year Star Trek picked up three nominations across two categories, with a TOS book and SNW book recognized in the Best Novel category and a Prodigy book for Best Young Adult / Middle Grade Novel. While this morning’s Emmy nominations fell short of hopes for Star Trek television, Star Trek books are faring better with 3 nominations from the Scribe Awards.
